Welcome to the Skin Studio User Guide

This documentation will guide you through the functionalities of Skin Studio giving you the ability to build cool skins for the popular Tracker™ 3 program by SymbianWare.

Tracker™ is a desktop replacement tool for the Sony-Ericsson P800 smartphone that supports skins in order to change the look and feel of the Operating System according to your taste. Backgrounds, icons, buttons, panels, shortcuts are only a sample of the features that Tracker™ supports and that Skin Studio can manage.

With Skin Studio you can import an existing skin (skin source files are required) or create a new skin from scratch. Full control on skin elements properties is provided, as well as advanced editing and layout functionalities like clipboard support, object alignment and much more.

Integrated in Skin Studio is an useful tool for creating masks to define transparency informations for buttons, icons and pictures.

Skin Studio uses the SkinMaker tool from SymbianWare to build the skin's binary output files; the tool is included into the distribution package of Skin Studio.

How to use this guide

This documentation explains each and every feature of Skin Studio through screenshots and crystal-clear explanations and examples. Please use the navigation bar at the top of each page to move across the manual; you can also use the "back" and "forward" buttons of your browser.

You can begin your work with Skin Studio by installing it on your computer.
